Campus Dining & Shops is responsible for all food service outlets on the University at Buffalo campuses. The corporation operates UB’s Meal Plan Program, Residence Hall Dining Center programs, UB Card office and our own branded restaurants. In addition to the varied restaurant options, Campus Dining & Shops operates three convenience stores on campus. We are the recognized caterer for all events on the campus.

Campus Dining & Shops is the business name for the Faculty-Student Association of State University of New York at Buffalo, Inc (FSA). FSA was established as a not-for-profit corporation on August 23, 1962. The Company's purposes read:
The general purposes of this Association are educational within the meaning of Sec. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and its regulations, and within this meaning the general purposes shall be to establish, operate, manage, promote, and cultivate educational activities and relationships incidental thereto by, between and among the students and faculty of State University of New York at Buffalo and to aid the students, faculty, and administration of the University in the furtherance of their education and studies, work, living, and co-curricular activities incidental thereto, in collaboration and coordination with the educational goals of the University.
The Company operates the on-campus dining services, vending services, convenience stores and other auxiliary services for the students, faculty and staff of the State University of New York at Buffalo (the "University") pursuant to an agreement with the State University of New York system.
This agreement includes a set of guidelines which auxiliary corporations at all SUNY campuses must follow. The Company's Board of Directors, the University President and the Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance of SUNY must approve the Company's annual budget. An annual audit by an outside auditing firm is required and shared with SUNY. General membership of such corporations includes all members of the faculty, student body, administration and staff of the University. A Board of Directors consisting of twelve (12) individuals elected or appointed by their constituency administers the Company. Six (6) Directors are students appointed by the student governments on campus, two (2) Directors are faculty members appointed by the Faculty Senate, and four (4) Directors representing the administration are appointed by the University President. The Company's Board of Directors meets monthly.
Services currently provided through the Company include: food service, both contract and cash operations, catering services, vending services, athletic concessions, convenience stores in each residence complex and in the Student Union, summer storage, and Campus Tee's. In addition, the Company administers the University's ID card program. There are 24 food service outlets on the campus operated by the Company.
A paid staff headed by the Executive Director conducts the Company's daily business. The Company employs approximately 250 full and part-time workers and 425 student employees. The projected 2007-08 budget is $19,517,082. The budget for this year as well as those for several prior years is provided herein. Also provided is the capital budget plans for the next five years.
