With twenty-eight dining locations in fourteen different buildings, there is always food close to where you are on campus - and your meal plan offers the best value at all of them. Whether you want breakfast at lunch, dinner on the run or a midnight meal, vegan selections or fast food, there are choices for everyone. For Freshman Residence Hall Students
To help students transition to college life, first-year students living in residence halls MUST have a meal plan. They can choose from one of the two plans listed below. First-year students are automatically assigned the Any 19 meal plan, but may select the Any 14 plan by using the online selection tool.

| Our most cost-effective plan, the Any 19 is designed for students who will be on campus the majority of the time and love a variety of options. This flexible plan can be used in any combination -whether in our all-you-care-to-eat Residential Dining Centers or as meal exchanges in our many restaurants and cafes. This plan also comes with $200 Dining Dollars and 5 Guest Meal Passes (per semester) | This plan provides the same features and flexibility as the Any 19, but designed for residents who may go home on the weekends or who generally use just two meals a day. This plan includes $300 Dining Dollars and 5 Guest meal Passes (per semester). |
For Upper-class Residence Hall Students
Choose the Any 19 or Any 14 plan or buy only the meals you need with a Resident Block Plan or Dining Dollars Plan. These plans offer a very economical way to dine on campus with maximum flexibility. These plans are not available to resident freshman students.

Plan will cover cost of meals based on average pricing (breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch - $130/week, $2,350/semester). The declining balance account can be used for the purchase of food and beverage products at any UB Campus Dining & Shops location, including convenience stores and vending machines. |
Upperclassmen/Commuter Dining Dollars $800 minimum (semester)
Average 5-6 meals per week for the semester, additional funds can be added. |
For Commuter/Apartment Students
Choose from any of the plans listed above or buy only the meals you need with the semester Block Meal Plan. A Commuter Dining Dollars account can also be opened with a minimum deposit of $50.

Kosher Meal Plans
The University at Buffalo, under the rabbinical supervision of Vaad, offers Kosher Meal Plans for the 2011-12 school year. All food is prepared at the NY Deli & Diner by Chef and Mashgiach, Ely Bokobza and overseen by Rabbi Moshe Taub BVK, Hakasrus of Buffalo.
Since NY Deli & Diner operates à la carte, all students interested in following the Kosher Meal Plan should purchase an all Dining Dollar account meal plan.
Key Dates and Information
- The last day to change a meal plan for the spring semester is January 13, 2012 at 3:30PM.
- After January 13, 2012 at 3:30PM, only new plans may be chosen. (No changes.)
- Any funds remaining in your Dining Dollars account after the fall semester carry over to the spring semester unless you cancel your dining plan. At the end of the spring semester, all Dining Dollars must be used-up or they will be forfeited.
- All dining plans for Resident student automatically renew for the spring semester unless changed in person at the UB Card Office or online by 1/13/2012.
